I A.R. McKee, Clerk of the County Court afsd. Certify that
the foregoing org deed of Conveyance from William Wheeler Admstr.
Benjamin Wheeler was filed in my office on the 13 of Dec. 1841, and afterward
on the 4 day of January 1842 acknd by Abel Wheeler to be his
act and deed, and his wife America being examined by me privily and
apart from her said husband, declared that she did freely and willingly
sign seal and deliver said writing, and wished not to retract it and
ackn d the s d writing. Again shown an
explained to her to be her act and deed, and consented that the same
might be recorded, and afterward on the 9 of March 1842 again produced
and acknd. by Thomas Monmouth to his act and deed, and his
wife Polly being examined by me privily and apart from her said husband
declared that she did freely and willingly seal and deliver said
writing, and wished not to retract it and acknd the said
writing again. I have aso explained to her to be her act and deed,
and Consented that the same might be recorded; Whereupon the same together
with the Certificates Therein endorsed are truly admitted to record. |

This Indenture made and entered into this 10 of Oct 1840 between
Nathaniel Wheeler and Sally his wife, Allen Wheeler and Sally his wife,
Thomas Wheeler and Anna his wife, Simeon Wheeler and Cinderella his
wife, Payton Wheeler and Nancy his wife of the county of Morgan and
state of Indiana, Abel Wheeler and America his wife, Benjamin Wheeler
and Sophia, his wife, Thomas Monmouth and Polly his wife, late Polly
Wheeler, of the county of Garrard and state of Kentucky, John Little and
Nancy his wife, late Nancy Wheeler of Madison Co, Ky heirs and legal
representatives of William Wheeler dec.d of one part and John
Bratcher of Garrard County and state of Kentucky of the other part,
Witnefseth that for and in Consideration of the sum of Sixty Three
Dollars, to us in hand paid, the receipt of which is hereby
acknowledged, have sold, and by these presents, Convey unto John
Bratcher a certain tract or parcel of land lying in Garrard county lying
on the waters of Back Creek, land of which the said William Wheeler
dec.d seized and pofsefsed of bounded follows towit, Beginning at
herases corner, thence S 86 W 25 poles to a stake in bratchers line a
creek pointers corner to Hirmes S8 thence S 85 W 17 poles to a Beech
tree on a hill side, corner to Bratcher at y thence N14 1/2 W34 poles to
a White Walnut Near the fork of a branch in Bratchers line at 10 thence
North 27 East 6 poles, large beech on a hill side, near a branch, Corner
to Dudley Taylor at 11 thence to the beginning, Makeing 5 1/4 acres to
have and to hold said tract of land with all and singular the
appurtenances to him the said John Bratcher, his heirs and afsigns, and
the parties of first part agree to warrant and defend the title, the
above 5 1/4 acres of land free, discharged, of right and title, Interest
or aim and of their selves and from Claim of every other person or
persons, whatever to said John Bratcher Absolutely and forever; In
testimony of all which they have hereunto set their hands and seals,
date aforesaid. |

On the fifteenth day of December A D Eighteen Hundred and forty before
us this justice of the peace in and for the County and state aforesaid
appeared Nathaniel Wheeler and Sally Wheeler his wife, Allen Wheeler,
Sally Wheeler his wife, Thomas Wheeler and Anny Wheeler his wife, Simeon
Wheeler and Cinderella Wheeler his wife, Payton Wheeler and Nancy
Wheeler his wife, who signed, sealed the foregoing deed and acknowledged
the signing and sealing thereof to be their act and deed for the
purposes therein exprest, and the said Sally Wheeler wife of Nathaniel
Wheeler and Sally Wheeler wife of Allen Wheeler, and Anny Wheeler wife
of Thomas Wheeler, and Cinderella Wheeler wife of Simeon Wheeler, and
Nancy Wheeler wife of Payton Wheeler, being separately examined apart
from their said husbands and the contents of the said deed of Conveyance
being fully made known to them, they freely and voluntarily relinquished
all and every species of right of Dower in and to the lands an tenement
aforesaid.
