This Indenture made and agreed on this ninth day of December in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and eight between Benjamin Sebastian of the County of Jefferson and State of Kentucky of the one part and William Bratcher Junr of the County of Ohio and State aforesaid of the other part Witnefseth that the Said Benjamin Sebastian for and in consideration of the Sum of four hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the Said William Bratcher hath bargained and Sold and by these presents doth bargain and sell unto the Said William Bratcher a certain tract or parcel of land containing two hundred and nine acres lying and being in the county of Hardin and on the Waters of Rough Creek and out of a Seven hundred and fifty acre survey Pattented in the name of Philip Philips and Bounded as follows (to wit)  Beginning at three beeches on the bank of Rough Creek being upper corner of two hundred acre tract as part of the same Survey laid of for Samuel McGhee thence East with the Said McGhee And Two hundred and ninety eight poles to two white oaks in the Original line thence North three degrees East one hundred and Eighteen poles to three white oaks thence West three hundred and four poles to two beeches on the bank of a Small branch thence down the Same to Rough Creek and down that abending on low water mark to the Beginning  to have and to hold the said tract of land with all its appurtenances to the Said William Bratcher an his heirs forever and the Said Benjamin Sebastian doth covenant and agree to and wills the said William Bratcher that he the said Benjamin Sebastian will forever warrant and defend the Said tract of land against himself and heirs and all manner of persons claiming under him the Said Benjamin Sebastian unto the Said William Bratcher and his heirs forever as witnefs whereof he the Said Benjamin Sebastian hath hereunto Set his hand and Seal the day and year above written;

                            I Benjamin Helm Clerk of the County Court for the County aforesaid do hereby certify that on 14th day of June 1809 the within Indenture or Deed of bargain and Sale from Benjamin Sebastian to William Bratcher was proven by the oath of Stephen Cleaver to be the act and Deed of said Sebastian and laid over for further proof and afterwards on the day of the date hereof was further proven by the Oath of George Wilson to be the act and Deed of Said Sebastian and taht I have truely recorded the Same in my office this 5th day of December 1809.
