One week later, Cesar received a letter from Rosita. Rosita explained to Cesar why she abandoned him. Rosita told her side of the story. Rosita said, “I have to tell you the truth. I don’t believe in love at first sight. I married you, but that didn’t mean I loved you. It was because I was an ignorant girl. I believed your father. said. He said. If I married you I wouldn’t have to do anything, just sit in a chair and receive money. But when I got here I found out the things were totally different. I had to do everything. I even had to cook. Your father lied about the whole things, and tricked me. In addition, my parents forced me to married you. They also thought you would Love me; but I didn’t understand what love is. I was older one in my family. My parents considered I had to help them and my brothers, sisters. Of course, I’m the victim of my family. Who asked to be born in a poor family and the older one? I didn’t have any option to make my decision.

Rosita also said, now she was mature and understood what love is. She had the right to choose her love. The money she had taken; she considered was her salary during the period of time she worked with Cesar. In addition, she wanted to frighten Cesar to give up looking for her. She said. She didn’t want to a tragedy to occur between them. Cesar was a chicken; of course he gave up looking for Rosita. He thought he had bad luck.

Since Cesar divorced Rosita, he had a very difficult time at the beginning. He didn’t know how to pass the rest of his life without Rosita.

When his parents saw Cesar couldn’t forget that unpleasant incident, they were worried about his mental health. They decided to find a new woman for him instead of allowing him to think about the unpleasant past marriage all the time. They thought, if Cesar had a new woman, he would have a better life. So, they went everywhere and found somebody who could help him to find a woman. His father also told to him, “Cesar you should ask your uncle Ofelio how to find a nice woman, I think he can help you with it.

When Cesar came to ask me, how he could get a nice woman. I replied to him and his parents and I said, “I don’t know how to find a nice woman, it all depend on your taste. There is no secret” I also didn’t want to have this kind of responsibility. I didn’t want them to complain about me in the future. So, I refused to do that favor.

One day, Cesar and his parents presented Cesar’s new girlfriend to me. (Her physical) looked like Rosita, tall, strong and healthy. But she compared with Rosita. Rosita was more beautiful than his new girlfriend. But that was his taste. His new girlfriend also came from a poor and big family, too.

The following day, Cesar’s parents asked me how Cesar’s new girlfriend looked. I saw Cesar was fond of his new girlfriend and so were parents too. So, I had better shut my mouth, say nothing.

One day, Cesar came alone to my store. I wanted to know why he was fond of that new girlfriend. He replied to me, that he was fond of his new girlfriend because she looked like Rosita, tall, strong and healthy. He also said wanted to change his genes to his next generation. So he decided to marry his new girlfriend, and he also said. His next generation will be bigger and taller than him.

Few years later, Cesar’s new woman had born five children with him. All of his children have grown up as bigger and taller as Cesar desired. But one thing he can’t change, that is his character. He still is a humiliated person. His new woman treated him as Rosita’s behavior. None showed any respect to him. His new woman also has been dating with her ex- boyfriend in public place without any shame feeling. She also controls all Cesar’s financial situations. Cesar can’t do and complain about anything. He just can do is close his eyes and pretend to can’t see anything else. Poor my nephew! I’ was feeling so sad; I couldn’t help him at all. I just able to do was tell to him be patient this entire thing will past. I don’t know why Cesar past so many undesired thing. Is it his doom?

Forgiveness Is The Choice (Masochist Lover--part VI)      Contents

We are talking about the name of the masochist lover. I skipped a paragraph of part five of the story. If I don’t add it, people would think the story is not suitable to the title.

For my long period of observation, I got a result of the real matter. All of Cesar’s ex-wife’s and his present wife’s bad treatment of him were created by Cesar himself. His present wife is different than his ex-wife Rosita. His present wife hasn’t abandoned her home, husband and children. She goes with her boyfriend because he was her first lover. Although they each married another woman, man. They don’t care about it. They separated because she immigrated to another country for a better life.

She thought she owed her boyfriend a portion of love, no matter if she had married Cesar and has five children with him. But she still loves her boyfriend. So, she decided to keep in touch with her boyfriend. She didn’t have any guilty feelings. She considered her marriage to Cesar a trade. She didn’t’ abandon her home, husband and her children because her children needed their father. She also knew her children loved their father, too. She considered her children innocent. They are also hers own flesh and blood.

At the beginning, Cesar was heartbroken. He didn’t know how to deal with the problem. He couldn’t believe his wife treated him so rudely; it was a nightmare for him. In a very short time, he became a skeleton. He was anxious about his marriage; he didn’t believe he could bear it again.

One day, Cesar came to visit me. He talked to me about how he had learned how to give the pain away. He said his secret is not keeping that unpleasant thing in mind. He considered the word is right. Even homer sometimes nods, nobody is perfect except GOD. He thought forgiveness for someone is the better way to handle this kind of problem. Furthermore, he was getting older, and his health wasn’t as strong as before and his children needed a safe and stable environment in which to grow up. A little sacrifice is worth it for his family.

I think Cesar’s generosity will gain his wife’s respect. She should know a man like Cesar in this world is extinct. She has no reason to treat him badly. She should thank Cesar for his kindness.
