direction. Even when it seems like the impossible rains have caused flood
and ruins in your life. It seems all hope is gone and in your despair,
just when you are about to give up, the voice of Jesus whispers to your
spirit in a calm voice. The very words you need to hear for strength as you go through your pain and your suffering.
Though the floods continue as Peter says there will be suffering and at the sight of your ruins, you know what God had told you in his word and your flesh battles against it. You want to believe God, but the storm is too much to bear but the enemy has turned your focus upside down in his favor. You are now faced with the impossible, doors are now shut, friends and family cannot help you and now everything is out of your reach. You are beaten spiritually and financially as the might of the storm sends you crashing into the enemy's strongholds. You began to give up and let go of your faith, failing to remember all things are working for you, and not against you. Did you know, you are chosen for this storm? Whether it be persecution, afflictions or just a test of your faith.
“As violent as your storm may be my child, stand still and know that I am God.” If God before you who can be against you? As you rest in your storms you allow restoration to take place. If you were persecuted you will then see that the tears shed will water seeds sown. As your faith was weakening, just looking back at what you just came through is enough. If your storm was an affliction in your body, even a medical doctor will prescribe plenty of rest while the healing takes place. So just “Rest in your Storms."
