Don't Miss The Boat! | |||||||||||
There was a man that was a true servant of God and was careful to always wait on God's blessings. One morning while listening to the weather broadcast, it was reported that there was a storm to come, causing a tremendous flood. The servant of God took heed, but he did not fear. He just prayed and asked God to send him help before the flood could cause him harm and went on about his day. That night it began to rain non-stop. Awaken out of his sleep by a knock on the door. He got up to answer and it was the Sheriff warning all residence to evacuate because the river was rising and to get yourself to safety. The servant of God told the Sheriff, he already has help on the way. That morning he was awaken again by the sound of water that made its way into the house, where the river had risen. Still he was not worried because he knew God would send help. Shortly after, the National Guards were helping the people into row boats, who were left behind. As they came to the servants house, he told them to go ahead and save the others, his help was coming. That afternoon the servant had to climb onto his roof to keep from drowning. While up on his roof, a helicopter spotted him and attempted a rescue. A rescuer was lowered to hoist him up, but he waved the rescuer off as though he did not need them, because he knew his help was on its way. He knew in his heart that God would never fail him. Soon the water began to cover the top of the roof and the servant had no were else to go but under. He woke up, and there was God, sitting on his throne. He knew then, he was in heaven. The first thing he said to God was, why didn’t you save me? God leaned forward and looked down at him with a mighty look of "you dare question me!" then he leaned back and called upon his angels Goodness and Mercy. As Goodness spoke in a voice of authority and said, that Sheriff in the middle of the night who came to warn you...that was me. As Mercy stood with arms folded, I came to save you in a rowboat but you shunned me away as though you were God and in control. Then God spake unto the servant with a thunderous tone of voice saying, "even in your darkest hour, when all hope was gone, and when you needed me the most eventhough you had no where else to go or no one to turn to, it was I…yes! I...your help in the midst of your storm, your way out of no way...your saviour who sent you that helicopter...
