The Comfort Zone

Vernetha Mims 2000
You have a ministry or a position and opposition comes your way to discourage you, but nothing that prayer can not change.  Doors begin to open, your ministry becomes stronger, you excel in your position and you are  now ready for another level.  God now takes you to that level, but on your way up, opposition now becomes intensed with fire and bigger contendors.

In your prayer and supplication, not one change has come through for you.  Thinking on your own, "maybe this is not  for me."  You then take up stake, take your ministry and pitch your tent in another campground, better known as "
The Comfort Zone."

You are now in your zone of comfort, no one to contend with, no more fire and the world accepts you because you make it comfortable for them to.  As comfortable as you are, you now feel you have done the right thing.  With so much opportunity and choices,  you might qualify for  another position that  takes  you  higher with a title, but yet, still comfortable up there.  You might want to work in a comfortable ministry where the pay takes you higher and your way is perfect now.

In Acts 9:31 the church rested in God and grew in strength and numbers.  Believers learned how to walk in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost.
Ps 18:32-33; It is God who makes our way perfect and sets us upon high places.

In your heart, you know your zone is not working.  You make up excuses from guilt and shame to sugar coat and  justify what your're doing.  A good soldier will never leave his post of duty.  He'll hide in a foxhole (
Jesus) and work on his strategy, sharpen his weapons and plan his attack on his enemy.  If he gets wounded, he's picked up by medics (Holy Spirit) bandaged and sent back to the battlefield.  Never will he leave his battle while a war is going on.  A football player will play with sprains,  torn ligaments and muscles but through his integrity, he stays in the game, subjecting himself to more injuries.

All it will take is to go back to that campground, that battlefield or that place in God you left for your comfort zone.
Isa 51:12, I even I, am he that comforteth you.  There you will find Jesus standing there waiting for you to come back. With open arms he will accept you as you are, place you out of the reach of your enemies when you learn to rest in him and let his Holy Spirit comfort you.

Thank you and may God add a blessing to the reader.
