I Won't Complain
One day while at work, glaring out the window, holding my chin, in deep thoughts on my children and their disobedience. As a single parent, God knows my struggle.  As I meditated and shared my complaint, with the Lord, I began to say:

Lord I leave my children instructions to follow, they don't
I tell them to do their chores, they won't.
I tell them not to fight each other, they do.
I tell them what time to be home, they're late.
I give them rules to follow, they don't.
I give them scriptures to follow, they don't.
I try talking to them; you think they listen?

Then they expect me to give them money they have not earned.
and they want expensive gifts they have not deserved.

As I inhaled and let out a sigh,
saying, Lord I just want the best for them
and commenced to work,
he simply said, look at mine...
As I thought about it, we are the same way with him. Wanting financial blessings when we messed up. Gifts bigger than our faith. Not living according to his will nor his word, constantly pulling and drawing his virtue and power, won’t listening to the messages from his prophets, calling on his name in vain, fighting amongst each other. When we need spiritual advice we run to a psychic.  He tells us to wait, we get impatient.  He takes away things that are bad for us we get angry. He fills us with his spirit we backslide, He gives us talent we sit on it. He trust us with his powers we abuse it. But the good part about it, as disobedient as we are, he just keeps right on blessing us as he promised in his word.  As I realized how many children he has…I won’t complain.
