TONY STEWART GETS POLE #1
(HE STARTS ON THE INSIDE OF THE FRONT ROW)
The boys,
Dad, Gramma, Julie and Cousins are all headed to
Well we got some good news on the job front this week.
A local postmaster called the dock to speak to someone about Keith and his work
habits etc. seems he is a friend of the postmaster of Ruskin, FL. (one of the
offices that Keith has put in a transfer for) he gives a sparkling review.
Next the
company in
I know he REALLY would prefer the V.A. job in
TONY STEWART WINS #2
FOR THE YEAR AT DAYTONA
Well
Keith and I are discussing what to do, where to live etc. He doesn’t
relish another winter like the last one either,
However it is a job offer.
The only
other variable in the equation is how much can we get for the house. If it is
not enough it’s still out. So I called our Realtor. (he
sold the house to us the first time. for the SELLER,) He is away in NY but will
call back.
So the
fire is lit again, Keith finishes up the trim work on the shed and the tree
house, I 2nd coat the back door, touch up the front door and make a
valiant effort to paint the mailbox to match the trim on the house, just like
the hose holder on the front of the house. It would have been fine if I had not
tried to stencil in the address. The letters looked like something out of a
horror movie. FOOEY. Now I need to buy a new mailbox,
duh!
Keith pulls the downstairs windows for me to paint
and he and the kids do the grocery shopping. I straighten up and stash the
junk. All except for the cellar. That needs a dumpter.
We still
need to pack the trailer since we head to Massasoit tomorrow for 4 days. Yikes
we need a few clones.
Well our
realtor shows up at 0800 as promised, bringing Danish and muffins, Keith
supplies the coffee. He is VERY impressed. He sees a buyer just “moving
in” and not having to do anything. There are a few things we may need to
change. But we knew that “Designed to SELL” not Designed to Live This is my favorite show, on HGTV, Tuesdays at
We
need to pack up the clutter (not mine. Most of that is gone) replace a closet
door – I have a curtain, because they bang together, and still iffy on
the furniture to stay in the Master bedroom. He loved the play yard. And says
that will be a good feature, that and the central AC. He asks what we need in
lead-time. a place to live etc. Keith point’s
out the trailer and says
After
he leaves Keith mows the lawn and packs the trailer by himself (I am at work) I
stop at Wal-Mart on the way home for a few things that we don’t have.
We finally head over to the campground around

We
get the results from last weeks labs – they are awesome. We have switched
from the pill Methotrexate to the liquid. This is able to be done either by
mouth or injection.
Since Ian was having such a hard
time keeping the pills down, we figured maybe this would be easier. Just in
case tho I have them show me both ways – by mouth and injection. So that
he will get his medicine no matter what. Since all the OTHER meds are getting
smaller. And I don’t want the labs to come back going up.

We are
supposed to meet the Realtor at
While at
work my Tour Superintendent mentions to me that he has not yet received a call
back for FL. That doesn’t surprise me. (He did call 2 weeks ago)He also
tells me he will try again later today if he remembers. I am impressed that HE
remembered, and that he was not going to accept the brush of either. Guess that
says I am an employee that is worth having even if I have no Sick Leave. Their
loss if they don’t want me.
We get a few things done at the house and then head for the
camper. I make shift a supper and then take the boys down to the lake so they
can swim. We are there until
Mom
stayed home today and spent the day with the kids. But it turns out that today is
a rainy yucky day. So the 4 of us head to the house. The boys play video games
and Mom and Dad take care of some things around the house.
Dad heads
to work and we wait for the mail and then head back to the trailer. The boys
ride bikes and then time for mom to go to bed. Since she is
going to work tomorrow.
We head
up to NHIS to drop the trailer off, and yet again it
is nothing but aggravation with these people. We arrive together so we can park
together and we still can’t manage it. Tho we did get an awesome spot. We
are right on the road, so plenty to watch when we hang out at the trailer.
But because of the distance between our
trailers we won’t be able to hook up to Brent’s nice QUIET
generator. Damn! The good part is that Ian will be all set to sell his beads. I
spent 85.00 on beads and he will pay me back as he sells them.
The “beads” are just like Madi Gras beads. The guys hand them out trying to get women
to flash them their breasts. Ian sells them as NASCAR beads,
he has all the colors of the various drivers. What is done with them after he
sells them doesn’t matter J.
The boys
and I head to NHIS – it is as usual hotter than
hell and lotz of traffic. It takes us a good 2.5 hours to get there.
Then once we get there I have the 1st attendant let me by, since I
have groceries and kids to drop off and then will return to the lower lot,
since I don’t have a parking pass. Well of course the next one says NO I
can’t go to my trailer and drop the stuff off. So I call Brent (who is
already in) and he comes out with his truck, he takes the boys and the
groceries and I head back out to the overflow lot.
Since I
am coming out, I manage to sneak into the OTHER overflow lot and end up only
about 100 yds from the trailer on the other side of
the rock barriers. Not too bad.
Well with all this extra
BS and running around mom misses her chance to be in the VIP section of
Trackside (the TV show – filmed at the track every week) and it is
unbearably HOT trying to set things up. That and someone has
parked too close to our trailer in the rear and I can not open the garage
portion, and that is where everything is. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
I wiggle
my way in, while standing on the bumper and pass the stuff down to Ian. What a
big help he is. He also sets up his table and starts making money J
I did
have Brent pick up a generator for me – I couldn’t stand the other
one… too much noise, now we have power any time and no noise.ahhhhhh
Today is
the Busch race and EVERYONE goes to this race.
Ian sets up bead selling after lunch and does OK,
but man did he make our after supper, the drunks cleaned him out. He several repeat
customers and with all the folks sitting there with him no one gave him a hard
time. The kid made $200.00 AFTER he paid me off nice work.
NASCAR NEXTEL CUP RACE
MY MAN TONY STEWART
WINS
THAT’S #3 FOR THE SEASON
THEN CLIMBS THE FENCE
We are
all packed and ready by 0900 – I head out with the boys and we stop to
return the unneeded generator oil and then home. Dad is bringing the trailer
home solo.
Dylan’s 9th Birthday
Ian wants
to open a checking account for all his $ so we head to the bank where Dad
opened the savings accounts – the one inside Wal-Mart for easy access.
When we
get home I order him some SpongeBob Squarepants checks – with his name etc.
We head
to the pediatricians office after work to have Ian’s monthly labs done.
What a trooper.
