Letters to the Editor
Issue 6
Letters Policy:
Basically the only thing we have
to officially say is this, "Your letter may be directed
to another member of the staff, rather than I, the Editor in
Chief, answering it". This is done to insure that you get
the most highly qualified answer that we can possibly give.
Also, sometimes I am on vacation
every week or so.
And I, the Editor in Chief, reserve
the right to edit all letters posted. Sometimes the "colorful"
language has to be omitted or changed which would be distinguished
by italicized (parenthesis) because it it causes nice
elderly church ladies thump their Bibles too hard.
And with their fragile and delicate
fingers, this causes considerable pain. And since we love and
respect them dearly, we choose to save them from such pain so
that they can continue to bake us cookies.
Your's truly,
The Editor in Chief.
Dear Editor and kindly staff:
Just a note, Darwin apologized
quite whole heartedly in his later years upon the discovery of
the misinterpretation of his theories.
You might want to research this. Specifically the last 3 years
of his life.
On that note, he mentioned throughout his original theoretical
writings that ALL of a species changed if evolution was to achieve
it's inevitable conclusion. Therefore, if we came from monkeys
then according to "Darwinism," there are not more monkeys.
Please respect this in your
preceding mentions of the "Theory of evolution" in
comparison to "Evolution."
The fore mentioned of the
two being merely that... theory.
Signed,
No One Insignificant (NOI for short)
Editors note: This
is the actual name used by the person who sent the letter - this
is NOT made up.
Dear NOI,
On behalf of . . .
-> the six million jews
killed during the Nazi holocaust,
-> the 90 million people killed
at the hand of communists,
-> the 10 million people starved
to death by Mao,
-> the many thousands of Aboriginal
people hunted down as specimens (and for body parts),
-> the 100,000 Aboriginal
children
snatched from their parents,
-> and all of these people's
relatives,
. . . apology accepted.
Also speaking on behalf of all
of us through history who misenterpreted
Darwin's writings and acted accordingly . . .
- including Howard Cosell, the
famed sports caster who in 1983 while calling a football game
and referring to an African-American player said, "Look
at that monkey go," . . .
. . . please accept OUR apologies
for this little faux pas. We hope that you can forgive our blind
foolishness.
Sincerely,
Editor in Chief (EIC for short)
Blind Fools
