Term	Definition	Examples
Kibble	An egg shaped bucket made of iron or wood used to raise ore without guidance in the shaft.The plates of a Kibble  would wear quickly as it bounced of the shafts side . Skips replaced kibbles
Killas	A term used to describe sedimentary and metamorphic rocks, that is non granite rocks. Some books describe Killas to be clay slate rocks whilst others use the word to describe rocks in the metamorphic aureole.
King post	A vertical post sometimes used to add strength to the beam of an engine.A king post was also added to beams to  provide a point for adding flat rods.
