Term	Definition	Examples
Ragging	A process in ore dressing. Ragging is the breaking down of large rocks using large hammers. Men undertaking this work were known as Raggers.
Revetment	A wall or stone facing built to supporting a bank of loose material.earth.Revetments are common in hillside mine locations.	S Caradon 19c view
Rising main	The column of pipes up which water is forced to the surface by pumps. The rising main is usually made of cast iron .
Rotative engine	A beam engine where the motion of the beam is converted to rotary motion by a sweep rod. Whim, stamp and crusher engines are rotative engines.
