26 Weeks LMP (24 Weeks Gestational)     July 23 - July 29
Baby Length: feels like several meters of knees, elbows and fists
Baby Weight: feels like a hundred pounds of heat-producing brown fat
Mother's Weight: just tremendous

Me, my mother and my paternal GrandmaJoe and I made another attempt to drive to Louisiana to visit my parents this weekend, this time in Joe's truck.  Thankfully we made it past Orange with no mechanical failures.  To lighten our load, we experimented with leaving Ernie and Geno at home, under the care of Geoff.  They seemed to hardly notice that we were even gone.

I ate way too much, but it was nice to see my family.  My mother took me to her clock repairman, where I finally got my cuckoo clock fixed, no thanks to the electrician that knocked it off the wall.  Sunday we visited my grandmother, and ate some more good food.

Joe, me and GrandmaThomas was quite active all weekend, especially anytime I was in the car.  He really doesn't like the seatbelt, although I try to keep it low, underneath my belly.  He'll kick and squirm until I move it in a position he feels is proper.  Before we were left on Sunday, my parents got to see his antics through my twitching belly from across the room.  Pretty weird.

Acid reflux has become an annoying symptom.  Particularly since I like to have a snack before I lay down in bed.  Additionally, I sometimes feel short of breath when I lay down, with the uterus so far up (almost a foot long).  So to be comfortable enough to sleep, I need a minimum of 5 pillows.  This combined with Thomas's nighttime activity doesn't leave me with much satisfying sleep.
