I'm not sure what prompted us to start thinking I might be pregnant.  Maybe it was because since Marcella announced her condition it was just on my mind.  Due to my irregular cycle, I never keep track of things, so I really wasn't sure if I was even late (and I certainly wasn't at this point).  And then a fellow student, who must have heard Marcella's news and confused her with me,  approached me at a dinner and told me she had heard that I was pregnant.  It could have even been some instinct telling me.  But regardless of the reasons, early Saturday morning, after having breakfast with Heather, I stopped by the drugstore and picked up the cheapest two-pack of home pregnancy tests I could find.  I have to admit I was quite shocked to find it positive and that my first comment was, "oh, crap."  But then I remembered I was married, with a loving, involved, supportive husband, and after doing a little math, that the timing was quite good.  And the grin on Joe's face helped quite a bit, as well.  By the time I took the second test, a few hours later, I was able to give the happy, excited response that this news deserves.

I immediately got on the internet and found all the information I could possible absorb.  The next stop was Barnes & Noble, where I must have bought out their pregnancy section.  Joe and I went over the list of symptoms and we realized I had quite a few.  The others I developed immediately after reading about them.
