Finally, a decent photo! It's relieveing to get to a point where if Thomas would be born now, he'd have quite a decent chance of survival.  Seems incredulous, since he is still so small, and I still have 3 months to go.  But at this point he has up to a 90% chance of surviving, mostly dependent on the develpoment of his lungs.  But what a tiny little thing he'd be!

Since Monday is Joe's 30th birthday, we celebrated by going to a movie and lunch with his mother and  couple of his friends.  Although it was quite a splurge, I got him a digital video camera.  I couldn't resist it, since the price was such a steal.  It was a discountinued item, although it was just manufactured a few months ago.  So for $450 we got a much fancier camera than I could have gotten for $600, which seems to be the typical price for bottom-of-the-line digital camcorders.

I'm getting so large in the belly, that I'm really getting clumsy.  I am always forgetting that I'm not as agile, or thin, as I used to be and I'm always bumping into people or furniture.  There's this one piece of equiptment at work that has a little tray that automatically slides out and whenver I'm using it, inevitably the tray will slide out an poke me in the belly.  Everytime. You'd think I'd remember and stand an inch or two further from the machine.  But my brain certainly isn't working up to par.

At Rachel's birthday dinner, in front of Heather's fireplaceThis was a very busy week in the lab, after quite a long time of not much activity.  It's very nice to have so much to do, although I'm beginning to feel the pressure of the November deadline to get stuff done.  And with as clumsy as I've gotten, it's amazing I can get anything done at all.  I've pretty much come to the conclusion that if I drop something on the floor, it'll just have to stay there.  Even just putting on my shoes in the morning is a test of flexibility, lest I squish Thomas and start a round of Mommy Punching.

Unfortunately, with how busy I've been, I missed aerobics both days and only got on the elliptical machine once.  I'm listening to the third Harry Potter book on tape while I workout, and at this rate, I'll never finish it before it's due.

We have another episode of car story, as well.  I now know that not all Ford dealerships are alike.  It's a shame when you can't count on people to take pride in their work.
