JOVIAN CHRONICLES
- Company: Dream Pod 9 (Canada)
- Authors: ???
- First publication: ???
- Genre: Hard science mecha
- Theme:
The Jovian Chronicles recounts the story of the human race in the 23rd
century: the present Chronicles are set in the year 2210. The Odyssey, an
introductory campaign in the original edition rulebook, helped shape a
great deal of the current world background and took place in the first half
of 2210.
The Jovian Chronicles can best be described as a "hard science fiction"
universe. Science has not progressed to the point where one can teleport or
go faster than light; a twentieth century person would recognize or
understand just about any technological item used.
Jovian Chronicles uses the Silhouette 2.0 game engine, a streamlined,
easy-to-use set of rules. Depending upon your gaming group's preferences,
the Chronicles can be played as either a roleplaying game, a tactical board
game, or a smooth integration of both. Roleplayers may wish to ignore the
tactical sections of these rules; similarly, wargamers should feel free to
use no more than the tactical rules system.

KULT
Death is only the begining
Reality lies
- Company: Metropolis (Sweden)
- Authors: Gunilla Jonsson, Mikael Peterson
- First publication: 1991
- Number of editions: 2
- Genre: Dark horror
- Theme:
Kult is set in large cities at the end of the 20th century. It is a world
where human wickedness is mingled with terrors from other parts of reality.
But human darkness is not all that threatens: the evil that humans do
corrodes the boundaries of reality and admits creatures from the other
side. Our dreams assume physical form and pursue us into the daylight.
The characters of the game can be seekers of truth, perhaps motivated by a
desire to regain a forgotten past, or to have revenge, or by simple
curiosity. They aren't pure-hearted crusaders against evil. Rather, we
should think of them as lost souls who need to slay their own demons in
order to have peace. Terrors from childhood rise up and assume physical
forms. Horror is created inside us. In this game, the heroes are forced to
go into darkness, perhaps into death-only to discover that there is no end.
For the characters of Kult, Death is only a beginning.

LACE & STEEL
- Company: The Australian Games Group (Australia)
- Authors: ???
- First publication: ???
- Genre: Swashbuckling fantasy
- Theme:
Lace & Steel is highwaymen waiting by a mist-shrouded road, or the
ferocious clash of cutlasses on the quarter deck. It
is gallant young men scaling palace walls to visit
their sweethearts. It is duelists meeting in the grey light of dawn,
and plotters gathering in torch-lit cellars. Lace & Steel is court intrigues
and dazzling balls, secret messages and lovers met by moonlight. Just take
your favorite romantic images, and live them through the game.
Lace & Steel is set in a world that is reminiscent of our own seventeenth
century Europe - specifically 1640s, which was the time of the English civil war
and the thirty years war. The fantasy lands of "Mittlemarch" have been chosen as the game’s setting
in preference to a historical setting to encourage a feeling of fun and fantasy.

LIVING STEEL
High Tech Adventure Game
- Company: Leading Edge (USA)
- Authors: Barry Nakazano, David McKenzie
- First publication: 1989
- Genre: Post apocalyptic sci-fi
- Theme:
The year is 2394, and the oppressive Starguild Imperium rules
Humanity. Supported by a technological monopoly, the Guild has imposed a
caste system on society, and most people are trapped in lives of endless
work and little hope. It has been more than a century since the
Starguild overwhelmed the dissenting voices of the free Seven Worlds
system, and began its unchallenged reign.
Now, however, the corrupt Imperium is facing it's greatest
test; the alien Spectrals(TM) have invaded. Lethal, efficient, and
committed to Humanity's annihilation, the Spectrals made contact with
the Starguild only a decade ago. Dozens of worlds have already fallen
before their assault, and the Imperium is on the verge of destruction.
Two month ago, the Spectrals invaded the isolated tourist world
of Rhand(TM). Spectral space bombardment, drop troops, and
bacteriological warfare shattered civilization on the planet, but before
the attack was complete, the Spectral invasion craft was destroyed. For
the last sixty days, chaos alone has ruled Rhand, as Humans have fought
among themselves and with the Spectrals for limited supplies and
technology.
Into this inferno steps a band of warriors, the reborn
champions of a long-lost civilization. One hundred and fifty years
before, they had been the leaders of the Seven Worlds, the greatest
Human society to fight against the Starguild. Wearing Power Armour suits
that are called LIVING STEEL, they have been reborn into Humanity's
Apocalypse. As the Starguild is destroyed around them, they set out to
fulfil the last orders they were given; "Save the ideals and the dreams
of our people, for better times."
Take your place among them. Your mission is to protect what
remains of Humanity, and sow the seeds of a new civilization, one free
of both Starguild oppression and Spectral assault. This is the Phoenix,
a new beginning for a desperate Humanity.
