General Evaluator
Before the meeting
- Before meeting begins, discuss educational goals and objectives with the speakers and evaluators.
- Make sure speakers have brought their manuals and turned them over to their evaluators.
During the meeting
- When introduced by the Toastmaster of the Meeting, explain the importance of evaluation.
- During meeting, make notes on the general quality of each portion of the meeting and prepare comments to be given during the General Evaluation.
- When called on for the Evaluation session, take control of the meeting from the Toastmaster, offer remarks on any special evaluation guidelines you are using, mention the time limit (2-3 minutes) and introduce the speech evaluators.
- Call for the Timer's report on the evaluations.
- Call for the "Ah" Counter's - Grammarian's report.
- Give an overall evaluation of the meeting, including the business meeting, general quality of the meeting (but don't re-evaluate the speakers unless you have specific compliments they have been evaluated once already), and the performance of the club officers, Toastmaster, and Topicsmaster. Suggest improvements and end on a positive note.
- Return control of the meeting to the Toastmaster.
