James Jelly wed Margaret Stevenson 1789-1870 at the Killinchy Presbyterian Church in 1818, they emigrated to Australia with five of their six children on the Sailing Ship "Thomas Arbuthnot" arriving in Melbourne in 1841. It would appear that their daughter Elizabeth remained in Ireland and married William Russell, they with Elizabeth's Aunt Mary McCullough 1782-1882. The Jellies settled in the Warrnambool area.
