The Rants Page __________ Happy 1st Aniversary Azn World!!| 11.9.03 (NEW) So it goes like this, after 3 unsuccessful tries at starting a web page and trying to update it and actually have people come back to it, this is the real success. Oh yes, I remember abandoned projects all too clearly. Starting with my star wars fan/game site to a home site with nothing intersting to a church site that i never update, to a site with nothing on it, to this. We've come a loong way here at Azn World. And I would like to thank my ever faithful viewers and fans to this site. Without you guys, i'd probably woulda quit a while back. ^_^ I remember all the work and stuff it took to get this site started. I even had to pirate a Image Editor like Paint Shop Pro to actually get the colors right. And you know what, i had to learn html... all over again. Which wasn't really bad, but by gosh that took quite some time. Lol, i remember when i was going frantic cause one of the scripts wouldn't work no matter what i programed. lol, it took 4 sodas and a meal at the table to figure out that i had a comma instead of a period in my scripting. Lol, yeah that was pretty... interesting to say the least. My dad was wondering what the heck i was doing all the time. Lol, i told him i was finding a comma. You could guess the look on his face... Anyway, i remember the time when i really didn't know what the heck to put on this page. I mean all the ideas seem to be takin by the big honkin monster sites out there in the world. But i guess being a semi-good writer pays off when you can write rants that people actually care to read. ^_^ i think i've actually sped up my typing and accuracy through this web site. It used to take about 4 hours to update. Yeah... that was pretty bad.... i had alot of homework stacked up. But meh, i guess i pulled through. But it was probably expecially difficult when people thought that this site was about or nearly dead and that it'll be discontinued like most other sites of this kind. I believe one of my friends actually made a commentary called "Azn World: And what went wrong." or somethign like that. It was actually pretty funny. But thanks to support and stuff, i've managed to pull through. I guess this site was originally supposed to be called Azn Page. But then my comic was Azn World and well, it just adapted to be called Azn World. Which i think is actually a better name for it cause, lol, i'm an asian. Welcome to my hectic life. ^_~ Or some other stuff like that. Lol, i actually got to put the slogan of this site somewhere with the new gfx's that hopefully i should have. (As soon as i can pirate another version of photoshop or painshop pro). It's "Don't worry, we know what you're goin through." And guess what. we do. Lol, we know all, ok well maybe not all. but part of that all, like maybe around 80% all. Or 90... hmmm it's deffinately greater than what you think we know. I remember when this site was publishing webcomics. Lol, needless to say, i've got almost no time for that anymore. But however brief they were, they were perhaps a big highlight to this page since most people seem to give me alot of hits around then and actually had people come back from them. But it did develope several main characters that you people should know on this site. Shu, Lydia, Jill, Lily(whom hasn't appeared yet...) Wei, John and Jack. They (we) could actually be considered the mascots of this website. Without their support and ever needed critisism i don't think would have a site like this. So as the comix were dying, I developed the rants. And they're the major thing that has kept people comming back to this site. lol, and as i look back on my rants. They aren't half bad ^_~ But i keep telling you of the success of this site without actually telling you the statistics. Ok, we have over 5,000 hits as of today. ^_^ that's pretty amazing if you ask me. It's quite impressive by that number and i tell you what guys, i couldn't have asked for more. You people are the best! So that's why i tell you that this site has been quite a success. And i again, i thank all of you faithful viewers for helping this site out. Lol, i hope you continue to come back, and give support once again! ^_^ ~Wei |
