This Indenture made the seventeenth day of July one thousand seven hundred and seventy seven between Joel Bradshaw of North Carolina & county of Rowan of the one part and Creed Hoskins of Cumberland county of the other part Witnefseth that the said Joel Bradfhaw for the consideration of the sum of seventy five pounds current money to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby confefsed have granted bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Creed Hoskins his heirs and afsigns one certain tract or parcel of land lying and being on the branches of Deep creek in the county of Cumberland adjoining the lands of John Hobson Field Robinson Simon Gentry Rebeckah Chamberlayne John Hughes and Joseph Robinson and contains two hundred acres be the same more or lefs which land Charles Bradshaw late of the said county deceased by his left will and testament in writing among the records of the said county court did leave to the said Joel Bradshaw after the death of his well beloved wife Jemima Brafhaw by the discription of the plantation which he then lives on  To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land unto the said Creed Hoskins his heirs and afsigns   with the reversion & reversions remainder & remainders unto ifsues and profits thereof and all right and title of the said Joel Bradfhaw and every of them of in and to the said tract or parcel of land and premifes with its appurtenances And the said Joel Bradfhaw for himself and his heirs the said tract or parcel of land and premifes and every part thereof against him and his heirs and against all and every other person or perfons to the said Creed Haskins his heirs and afsigns shall and will forever warrant and defend by these presents  In witnefs whereof the said Joel Bradfhaw have hereto put his hand and seal the day and year above written.

Seventh July 1777  Rec'd. of Creed Haskins seventy five pound current money in full satisfaction for a certain tract of land convey to him by this deed
