This Indenture made the twentyfifth Day of February One Thousand Seven Hundred and seventy four Between Josiah and William Bradshaw & Elizabeth & Susannah their Wives of Bedford County of the one part and John Hobson of Cumberland County of the other Part Witnefseth that for and in Consideration of the Recpt & full Sum of one hundred & Five Pounds Current Money of Virginia to them in hand & paid by the said John Hobson the said Josiah and William Bradshaw & their Wives Aforesaid do Bargain sell Deliver & Confirm unto the said John Hobson & his heirs & afsigns forever a certain Tract or parcel of Land Lying & being in the County of Cumberland on the Branches of Deep Creek Containing by Estimation two hundred Acres be the same more or lefs being part of a Tract of Eleven Hundred & ninety Acres Granted in two parcels by patent to William Bradshaw Deceased & Bounded as followeth Towit Beginning at Feild Robersons Corner Running thence on William Tabor South to Pointers thence on Feild Roberson, East Eighty Poles to Pointers on the South side of a Branch thence up the line of Field Bradshaw the same Course Continued two hundred & twenty four Poles to Pointers thence on William Bradshaw North sixty Poles to Pointers near the Spring the same Course to the Beginning. To have & to hold the said Land & premifses with all and Singular the priviledges and Appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise Appurtaining to him the said John Hobson his heirs & Afsigns forever and that they the said Josiah & William Bratcher & Elizabeth & Susanah their Wives Will forever Warrant & Defend the said Land & premifses with the Appurtenances unto him the said John Hobson & his Heirs forever In Witnefs whereof they have hereunto set their Hands & Affixed their Seals the Day & Year first above written
Memorandum that on the day & year within written Quiet & Peaceable Pofsefsion of the within mentioned premifses was made done & executed by the within Named Josiah & William Bradshaw & Elizabeth & Susannah their Wives unto the within Named John Hobson According to Tenor form & Effect of the within written Indenture
At a Court held for Cumberland County the twenty eighth day of February 1774. This Indenture with the memorandum indorsed were proved by the Witnefses thereto and ordered to be Recorded
