This Indenture made this eighth day
of October in the first year of the reign of our sovereign lord king George the third and
in the y year of our lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty one Between William Bradshew of the county of Cumberland of the one part and
Gideon Patterson of the aforesaid county of the other part Witnefseth that for and
in consideration of the sum of one hundred pounds current money to him in hand paid by the
said Gideon Patteson the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge hat given granted
bargained sold aliened enfcoffed and confirmed and by these presents doth give grant
bargain sell alien enfscoff and confirm unto him the said Gideon Patteson his heirs
executors admrs. and afsigns a certain peice or parcel of land lying situate on Deep creek
in the county aforesaid containing tow hundred acres more or lefs which said two hundred
acres of land was formerly the propre of Field Bradshew by a
deed which said deed now remains on the records of the county aforesaid relation thereunto
had will more fully appear and all the estate right title intrest property claim and
demand whatsoever of him the said William Bradshew his heirs
and afsigns of in and to the same or any part or parcel thereof To have and to
hold the aforesaid two hundred acres of land (according to the bounds exprefsed in
the said Field Bradshews deed) and the appurtenances with all
and singular the rights hereditaments members and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in
any wise appertaining to the aforesaid Gideon Patteson his heirs and afsigns forever
And the aforesaid William Bradfhew for himself his
heirs executors admrs and afsigns doth covenant grant and agree to and with the said
Gideon Patteson hie heirs executors admrs and afsigns that he the said William Bradfhew his heirs and afsigns the aforesaid two hundred
acres of land be the same more or lefs and it appurtenances according to the bounds
exprefsed in the aforesaid Field Bradshews deed as aforesaid
shall and will warrant and forever defend against the claim or claims of any person or
perfons claiming by from or under them or any of them or from the claim or claims of any
perfon or perfons whatsoever that shall or may hereafter claim the same or any part or
parcel thereof or the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appurtaining and
further that the said William Bradfhew his heirs and
afsigns shall and will from time to time and at all times forever hereafter at the
reasonable request cofts and charges in the law of him the said Gideon Patteson hie heirs
and afsigns make do execute and suffer all such further and other conveyance and
conveyances afsureance and afsurances in the law for the better and surer conveying the
aforesaid land premifses and appurtenances to the said Gideon Patteson his heirs and
afsigns forever as by the said Gideon Patteson his heirs and afsigns or his or their
council learned in the law shall be reasonably devised advised or required In
Witnefs whereof the party aforesaid hath to these presents interchangably set his hand and
affixed his seal the day and year first above written.

Memorandum That on ye eighth day of
October 1761 Peaceable and quiet pofsefsion of the within mentioned land and premifses was
had and taken and delivered by the within William Bradshew
unto the within Gideon Patteson by usual symbol of turf and twig.

At a court held for Cumberland county the 22nd
day of March 1762.
This Indenture with the memorandum of livery and seizen and receipt endorfsed were proved
by the oath of Adcock Hobson and James Patteson two of the witnefses thereto and at a
court continued and held for the said county on the 24th day of November 1767 the same
were further proved by the oath of James Brickey another witnefs thereto and by the court
ordered to be recorded.
