This Indenture made this one thousand seven hundred and seventy two Between Josiah Bratcher of the County of Bedford of the one part and William Bratcher of the same County of the other part Witnefseth that the said Josiah Bratcher for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and twenty five pounds Current money of Virginia to him in hand paid the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge hath granted bargained fold and confirmed and to these presents doth bargain fell deliver and Confirm unto the said William Bratcher and his afsigns for ever one Certain tract or parcel of land granted to Field Bratcher by deed dated the 10th day of July 1749 and by him Conveyed to Josiah Bratcher Containing two hundred and fifty acres by the same more or lefs and lying and being in the County of Cumberland and parish of Southam on the branches of deep Creek and bounded as followeth to wit beginning at Field Robinson's Corner running thence of to William Tabor South to pointers thence on Field Robinson east eighty poles to pointers on the South Side of a branch thence on the line of a tract of the said Field Bratcher's line on the same Course two hundred and twenty four poles to pointers thence on William Bratcher North sixty poles to pointers near the Spring South seventy eight degrees east fifty three poles to pointers thence on Charles Bratcher a new line North one hundred and sixty one poles crofsing a branch of Deep Creek to a White Oak thence on Samuel Nuckolds West fifty tow poles to a branch on the South side of a run thence on Field Robinson South to a Corner along his line to the first Station together with the priviledges and Appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any ways Appertaining to him the said William Bratcher and his heirs and afsigns forever and the said Josiah Bratcher doth for himself and his heirs warrant and for ever defend the Said land and premifses unto the said William Bratcher and his heirs and afsigns for ever In Witnefs whereof he the said Josiah Bratcher hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his Seal the day and year first above written
Memo: That on the day and year first written mentioned quiet & peacable posefsion of Livery Seison of the within mentioned land and premises was made done and executed by the within mentioned Josiah Bratcher to William Bratcher according to the true form and effect of the within written deed
