This Indenture made this 28th day of August in The year of our Lord one Thousand seven Hundred & Sixty 4.  Between Matthias Reece of Bedford County in the Colony of Virginia of the one part & John Bradshaw of the said County of the other part Witnefseth that the said Matthias Reece for and in Consideration of the Sum of Twenty five Pounds Current Money of Virginia to him in hand paid by the said John Bradshaw at or Before the sealing & Livery hereof the Receipt whereof he doth hereby Acknowledge he the said Matthias Reece hath granted Bargained sold Alin'd Released Enscoffed & Confirmed & by these presents doth Grant Bargain sell Alien Release Enscoff & Confirm unto the said John Bradshaw & his heirs One Certain Tract or parcel of Land Containing one Hundred & Sixty Eight Acres Lying on the North side of the Stanton River in Bedford County & Bounded as follows (to wit) Beginning at a Double Lyne Tree at the Mouth of Lick Run thence down the River South Twenty seven Degrees East Two Hundred & twenty poles to a Black Oak Thence North sixty three Degrees East one Hundred & Ten poles to a White Oak Thence North Twenty seven Degrees West Two Hundred & sixty Poles to a Chestnut on Lick Run thence Down Lick Run as it Meanders to the Beginning Together with all woods underwoods ways waters Water Courses Profits Commodities Advantages Heariditements & Appurtenances whatsoever to the said Tract or Parcel of Land Belonging or in anywise Appertaining & the Reversion & Reversions Remainder & Remainders thereof Together with all his Estate Right Title Interest Property Claim & Demand whatsoever of him the Said Matthias Reece of in & to the same To have & to hold the said tract or parcel of Land & Premises with the Appurtenances unto the said John Bradshaw his Heirs & Afsigns to the only Proper use and Behoof of him the said John Bradshaw his Heirs & Afsigns Absolutely forever & the said Matthias Reece & his heirs the said Tract or parcel of Land & premises with the Appurtenances unto him the said Jno Bradshaw & his Heirs & against all & every other person or persons Whatsoever Lawfully Claiming or to Claim by from or under him them or any of them shall and will Warrant & forever hereafter by these presents Defend In Witnefs whereof the said Matthias Reece hath Thereunto set his hand & seal the day & Year above Written

At a Court held for Bedford County August 28th 1764 This Indenture and Memorandum of Livery of Seisen hereon Indorsed were Acknowledged by Matthias Reece party thereto and Ordered to be Recorded Teste Ben Howard CBC
