This Indenture made the 24th day of July one Thousand and seven Hundred and Seventy Nine Between Josiah Bradshaw of the County of Bedford of the one part and Thomas Watts of the same County of the other Part Witnesseth that the said Josiah Bradshaw for and in Consideration of the Just & full sum of one Thousand Pounds Current Money of Virginia to him in hand Paid by the said Thomas Watts the Receipt whereof he Doth hearby acknowledge have granted Bargained sold Alien Enscoffed and Confirmed and by these Presents do grant Bargain sell Enscoff and Confirm unto the said Thomas Watts his Heirs and Assigns forever one Certain Tract or Parcel of Land Lying and being in the County aforesaid Containing Two Hundred Acres it being the Land whereon the said Thomas Watts now Livs and Bounded by the Lines of Henry Gilbry Thomas Cliborn Joel Meador John Booth Thomas Hunt and Edward Burgis Together with the Priviledges & Appertenances thareunto Belonging To have and to Hold the said Land and premeces with thair and every of thair appertenances unto the said Thomas Watts his Heirs and Assigns forever and the said Josiah Bradshaw for himself and his Heirs Covenant Grant and Agree to and with the said Thomas Watts that he the said Josiah Bradshaw the said Land and Premeces with thair and every of their Appertenances unto the said Thomas Watts his Heirs and Assigns forever shall and will Warrant and forever Defend In Witness whareoff he the said Josiah Bradshaw hath hearunto sat his hand and Affixed his Seal the day and Year above Written

This Indenture was proved by the Oaths of Alexander Ferguson & Glover Davenport And at a Court held for said County the Twenty Third day of August following the same was further proved by the Oath of Isaac Rentfro and Ordered to be Recorded
