This Indenture made this Twentieth day of September on Thousand Seven hundred and sixty two Between William Rentfro of Bedford County and William Bradshaw of Cumberland County Witnesseth that the said William Rentfro for and in Consideration of the Sum of Seventy five Pounds Current money of Virginia to him in hand paid the Rect Whereof they do hereby Acknowledge him the said William Rentfro hath Granted Bargained sold Enscoffed and Confirmed and by these Presents Doth Bargain sell and Confirm unto the said William Bradshaw and assigns forever one hundred and seventy acres of Land Lying and being in the County of Bedford on Gills Creek Beginning at a hickory a Corner of Potteets Line thence South forty five Degrees West one Hundred and Forty four Poles to Pointers South Seventy nine Degrees west ninety two Poles to a White oak thence North seven Degrees west forty Poles to a White oak and Red oak Thence North Thirty eight Degrees East two Hundred and Sixty Eight Poles to a young White oak thence East Ninety six Poles to Pointers Thence south Twenty five and a half Degrees West to to the first Station ToGether with all Houses out houses Edifices orchards Yards Gardens and all Other Profets and Improvments of what Nature or kind sever Unto him the said William Bradshaw his Heirs and assigns forever and to the only Use and Behoof of him the said William Bradshaw and his Heirs and assigns forever as an Estate in fee simple and the aforesaid William Rentfro Doth for him Sell his heirs and assigns further aGree to and with him the Said William Bradshaw his Heirs and assigns That he will Warrant and forever Defend the aforesaid Land and Premises from him Self his Heirs and assigns and from all other Persons Whatsoever Claiming any Right or title to the Said Land and Primises in Witness hereof I have Hereunto set my hand and affixed My Seal the day and year first above Written Wm. Memorandum that on the Twenty eight day of September 1762 Peacible and Quiet Posssion of the within Mentioned Land and and Primises was had and Taken with Livery and Seison of the same by the within Mentioned William Rentfro and by him Deliverd unto the Said William Bradshaw unto the only use and behoof of him the aforesaid William Bradshaw his heirs and assigns forever According to the True and Intent and Meaning of the Within Written Deed Wm. At a Court held for Bedford County September 28th 1762 this Indenture and Memorandum of Livery of Seizen hereon Indorsed ware acknowledged by William Rentfro Party thereto and ordered to be Recorded
