This Indenture made the 28 day of April in the Year of Our Lord one Thousand seven Hundred & sixty seven. Between William Scott of the County of Bedford of one part and Josiah Bradshaw of the County of Cumberland of the Other Part Witnesseth that the said William Scott for and in Consideration of the sum of Forty five Pounds to him in hand paid before the sealing and Delivering of these presents the Receipt whereof he doth hereby Acknowledge have Granted Bargained and sold Confirm and Confirmed and by these presents doth grant Bargain Enscoff and Confirm unto the said Josiah Bradshaw his Heirs and Assigns that piece or parcel of Land Containing one Hundred and fifty Acres situate Lying and Being in the County aforesaid and Bounded as followeth Viz Beginning at a poplar on the North side of Stanton River thence New Lines North five Degrees East Sixty poles to a Small Red Oak North fifty Degrees West sixty Two poles to a pine west on Hundred and sixty poles to a small Hickory South one Hundred poles to a pine on Stanton River aforesaid thence Down the said River as it Meanders to the first Station with all Houses Edifices Buildings Enclosers Water and Water Courses profits and Emoluments whatsoever to the same Belonging or in any Wise Appertaining and Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders thereof and of Every part and parts thereof and all the Estate Right titles & Interest whatsoever of him the said William Scott of in and to the said Bargained premises and every part & parcel thereof to have and to hold the said Tract of Land and all & singular the premises and appurtenances unto the said Josiah Bradshaw his Heirs and Assigns to the only Proper use & Behoof of him the said Josiah Bradshaw his heirs & Assigns forever and the said William Scott his Heirs and Assigns the said Track of Land and all & Singular the Premises with the Appurtenances unto the said Josiah Bradshaw his Heirs & Assigns Shall and will Warrant and forever Defend against all or any Person or Persons Whatsoever and the said William Scott for him self his Heirs Executors & Assigns do Covenant & agree to & with the said Josiah Bradshaw his Heirs and Assigns in Maner and form Following, To wit, that he the said William Scott at the time of Sealing and Delivering of these presents is and stand seized of an Indefeaseable Estate Fee simple in the said Land & premises and hath full Power good Right & Lawfull authority to Sell and Convey the same in Maner & form aforesaid and the said Josiah Bradshaw his Heirs and Assigns Shall and may forever hereafter Peaceably & Quietly have hold Possess & Enjoy all & singular the Premises with the Appurtenances without the let Quiet or Molestation of any Person Whatsoever and that the said Track of Land & premises with the Appurtenances shall forever Hereafter Remain unto the said Josiah Bradshaw his Heirs & Assigns free & Discharged of & from all former Estates Rights Titles Dower Debts Judgments and Executions Whatsoever and Lastly that the said William Scott and his Heirs shall & will at any Time hereafter make & Execute such further act and Acts Conveyance and Conveyances Necessary in the Law for the further and Better and further Assuring the said Land Premises with the Appertenances unto the said Josiah Bradshaw his Heirs and Assigns as by the said Josiah Bradshaw his Heirs and Assigns as by his or their Council Learned in the Law shall be Devised or Advised or Required In Witness whereof the parts to there presents interchangeably have hereunto set his hand and fixed his Seal the day & Year first Written Wm.
