| A HEARTY MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL! A CRISIS IS FAST APPROACHING THAT WE CAN ALL FIX There is a crisis in may areas of our country right now. It involves Christmas, it involves the belief of overspending during the Christmas Season and it involves a larger and larger portion of our population who are having difficulty simply maintain with their economic survival, let alone being able to go out to the stores and spend a small fortune on their own families. In many tens of thousands of cases they cannot even begin to celebrate the Christmas Season as they are simply trying to keep food on the table and heat in the home. These are symptoms of a much greater problem, a problem that the Reform Party is gearing up to address and influence the changes needed to make our citizens at every level better economically. For many of you , the surprise that in your own state, some of your largest employers have substantial numbers of employees not only working the hours they are given but are still forced to ask the state for help in order to meet minimal budgets for their family. The disaster of the policies of this season are being felt and the efforts to help these people are being hindered as the actual hidden inflation rates of 10% or higher are being felt but not realized by the people. Unfortunately, the kids are the victims of the Christmas Season and the parents are the helpless adults not able to do what they believe they should be doing. In other words, the American Dream is being sadly diminished during this otherwise joyful season in celebration of Christmas. The message this week for those who visit our website is one of less "global"significance and more of you and your local community. Almost all communities have programs where during the time of Christmas the goal is to provide a few toys, a little cheer and a sense of happiness for the kids. In almost all communities, there is also a program which will reach out and help the teens who may actually be homeless and under the radar or the parents are part of the economic decay of our policies and cannot provide much past the food and heat. I would like to urge each and every one of you to take a moment, find out what organization near you is attending to the children in your area and make a contribution to them. It could be "Christmas for Kids" or "Kids Christmas Project"or one of many other combinations. We also know the Salvation Army and the Marine Corps Toys for Tots program collects and delivers thousands of special gifts for children throughout the United States. And lest we forget, there are thousands of churches who are doing thousands of activities to meet these ends that you will never hear about but if you take a moment to investigate, you'll see just how important they are in this mix during the Christmas Season and further through the winter season. Remember, the children are our future and we know in our hearts the need to create those special memories for them to remember. In some organizations you can find out specific toys that a child might want. You can actually go buy it yourself and donate it and the need for money to purchase all those wishes the children asked for and nobody remembered to purchase for them is also a high priority during this festive season. For teens? Movie passes, Pizza gift certificates, jeans, sweaters and such are just as important as anything else. According to reports across the country, there is a crisis. The drain on the family dollars just to survive has pushed thousands into this type of program who in past years have been the donors for others. This is the American Dream and we all know we can't do for all but we can do something for our local neighbors. This is what has made America great and this in what will keep America great. Join me this year in donating to your local organizations to help make your local children have a happy and save holiday season. Wish them a very special Merry Christmas.
