Since the Orlando, Florida quartet called C
Note released its Epic Records debut album, "Different Kind of Love"
on May 25th, 1999, the music-buying public is learning what a growing legion
of fans have known for the past year: C Note is simply one of the
hottest new vocal groups on the hyper-competitive music scene, bringing a
sensual Latin flavor to their blend of pop, dance, and R&B sounds.
All in their early 20's, C Note combines
a sexy, athletic look with an abundance of stage, vocal, and dance skills.
In their debut album, the bilingual foursome moves easily from English to
"Spanglish," from soulful a capella harmonies to alluring R&B sounds
and explosive dance numbers.
Brody, Raul, and David began
working together as a trio when two other members of their previous vocal
group left the act. They brought along Dru to perform with them at a local
talent show, where their victory brought them to the attention of Trans
Continental Records, the music and marketing force behind Backstreet Boys
and NSYNC.
1998 marked a turning point for C Note.
When not rehearsing their stage show or cutting tracks for their debut album,
the guys were performing on stages across the country--and thrilling fans
of all ages and genders with their hot, high-energy stagecraft and passionate
vocals. Long before the release of their album, C Note had appeared
in the pages of Time, The Wall Street Journal, The Los Angeles Times, and
Entertainment Weekly, and been feature on Fox News and MTV.
No wonder Time said that "many in the music industry
are expecting big things" from C Note and Different Kind of Love.
Now watch them go!
