NEW Awayyy back there was a short fiction contest announced for the Transylvanian Society of Dracula, Canadian Chapter's 10th anniversary party. I entered (heck, I proposed the contest so I could enter, lol.) I'd intended all along to write a story about Lucy, the Bloofer Lady, and her pov of what happened in the short week or so she was a vampire.
I ended up writing Shell Shock, a story about what happened to one of the child victims of the Bloofer Lady.
The story will only really make sense if you have read _Dracula_. As a paeon to its granddaddy, Shell Shock is written in epistolary (journal entries and letters) form.
Here it is: Shell Shock
