HSBC vs Skulking Loafers
This game took place at Oaklands Park. The Loafers with 3 wins out of 3 games were in good spirit for this game against the normally formidable opposition of the Bankers. The toss was won by captain Budd of the Loafers and he elected to bat. Alec Walsgrove was in good form with his best innings of the season(46) and with a quick fire 30 from M.Dunn the Loafers were able to set a defendable total on an easy wicket. The Loafers bowling attack were soon taking wickets and the Bankers with the exception of Sadler and Boxall were not up to the task. The Loafers routed the Bankers and ran out winning by almost half of their total. The feeling in The Loafers camp after this match was high and talk of going through the whole season without losing was on the teams minds.Beer and Skittles followed and with a bit of grub thrown in what a nice evening.
