Harlequins vs Skulking Loafers
With the season now over half way through, the summer weather has set in, and we have not played a game for nearly a month, due to the persistant liquid sun.The cutting edge of our side seemed dull for this fixture, and we really did not play to well at all.The liveliness of the wicket took the Loafers by surprise and due to some indiscipled bowling we contrived to give away 26 extras which was over a quarter of the Harlequins total. After The Loafers had taken some early wickets the Harlequins were held together by the experience of Chris Redman who again ended up not out with 20.The Loafers reply did not get off to good start and wickets tumbled until Phil Low brought about somewhat of a rally .The end came to soon though
,and the Loafers fell short by 2 runs .After match talk was of why we had lost our unbeaten run in a way that we should not have allowed we had let ourselves down and we knew it.
