August 20, 2001
Wow, it's been a month since my last update. How time flies while on vacation! Summer is unfortunately winding down, but there are still a couple of weeks left, and I intend to make the most of them. Now that my day job is done, and I'm on vacation (working only 3 days a week), life is much less stressful than it has been in a long time.

Firstly, some belated birthday wishes are in order. Happy 21st to Ariela on August 8th, happy 23rd to Helen and Voula on August 9th, very happy 20th to Elie on August 10th (and welcome home). And more recently, happy 21st to Eric on August 18th.

With all these birthdays, quite a bit of celebrating has been going on. To the cegep gang: it was lots of fun seeing everyone last night at Eric's party. I'll send you guys copies of the pictures when they get developed. And Elie's celebration was fun the other day too. Lots of British accents to keep straight.

Last weekend, Andrea and I went to Albany for two days of shopping, eating at TGI Friday's (mmmmm, Oreo Milkshakes), Friendly's, and Applebee's, and other such adventures. I bought some nice new stuff, and ate way too much, but it was fun. Eric and I went to see Dave Matthews Band in concert a week and a half ago, and that was lots of fun. I've also seen a few movies lately, including Planet of the Apes, America's Sweethearts, Rush Hour 2, and The Score. I posted a review of The Score, so check it out. I also posted a new thought so you can read that if you like.

Collective Soul's Greatest Hits album will be released September 18th. It's nice to have that kind of an affirmation of my favourite band's success. To anyone who has yet to discover the guys, this CD might be a good start.
