Yes, it’s another update.  Finally.  I know I’ve been neglecting this site horribly lately because I’ve been focusing on my weblog, but I’m long overdue for a main site update so here it is.

I went to see Bon Jovi and the Goo Goo Dolls last night. The show was amazing and I blogged a mini-review. I also saw Our Lady Peace a couple of weeks ago. The show was also great, although I wish Raine Maida would keep his politics to himself.

Speaking of politics, things have been heating up on that front in the world lately. I’ll leave the details to the blog, but overall, on a personal level, I can’t help but reflect lately on how different the world is today than it was, say, two or three years ago. Even reading archives on this site make me wistful.

In positive news, my plane tickets arrived for Greece.  Only 4 1/2 months to go until my next vacation time. I miss being a student, with long summers, spring break, and all kinds of days off.

But I’m really looking forward to my two weeks to sit on the beach and relax this summer.  It’s really nice to think about, especially during those cold -40 degree days we’ve been having far too often lately. The temperature warmed up this week just long enough for me to squeeze in some night skiing with my coworkers on Thursday, but now it’s freezing rain outside.  Ahhh, the joys of winter.

A few birthday wishes are in order:  Happy 22nd to Marie last week.  Happy 23rd to Andrea a couple of weeks ago.  And a very happy 94th (!) birthday to my Zaida on the 15th.  I’m constantly amazed by his positive outlook and attitude.

I’ve seen a few movies lately, and I posted my review of Chicago.  I also added a new thought, which is sort of a cop-out - I wrote it last week and published it linked to my blog, about the protests against war in Iraq.  So now I’m posting it here for all to read.

Well, that’s about it for this installment.  Take care everyone!
