Happy New Year everyone!

I hope you all had a great holiday.  I know I did. I spent the week in Whistler, skiing the powder, and it was fantastic! There’s nothing quite like being above the treeline, above the clouds, literally at the top of the world, on a clear sunny day when you can see for miles and there’s nothing around but snow.  Absolutely incredible.  Whistler itself is beautiful and we all had fun shmoozing in the village and visiting relatives.

I also spent a day in Vancouver, where I hit the Banana Republic with a vengeance, and then went to see the Habs lose to the Canucks. Despite the loss, we had a great time cheering on the away team, along with the astonishingly large number of fellow Montreal fans in the crowd. I think I saw more Habs jerseys than Canucks ones.

Despite the great time we had while we were there, as usual with vacations, the getting there is always a hassle.  I wrote my latest thought on the “joys” of flying.  Sorry, no movie review this time - the only one I saw lately was the James Bond flick, and I couldn’t be bothered to do a writeup.

Anyway, if you’ve noticed things have been rather quiet around this site lately, it’s because most of my energy has been dedicated to my weblog, segacs’s world i know.  Check it out for constant updates on what’s going on in the world . . . and in my head.

That’s it for now. Back to real life on Monday. Enjoy the last weekend of vacation, everyone!
