September 2, 2002 Welcome to my new and improved website!
Yes, after nearly a year of intentions but no action, I finally got around to overhauling this dump. I’m still not 100% satisfied with the new design, so I may tinker with it a bit in the coming weeks, but I’m sure you’ll agree that it looks much better than it used to. To give your opinion, or if you notice any broken links, please let me know.
I’ve now fully settled into the reality of being home and unemployed. My job hunt has been extremely frustrating so far, to say the least. I didn’t expect it to be so difficult; after all, I’m qualified and I think I make a good candiadate. But I guess I underestimated the tightness of the job market right now. I’m trying to be optimistic, but it ain’t easy. (By the way, my objective is an entry-level position in advertising or marketing communications, in client services or media. If you know of any openings, view my resume and let me know!)
I saw Oasis in concert a couple of weeks ago, which was a lot of fun. Their new material is actually pretty good. In other music news, I’ve been listening to Gravity, OLP’s new disc, nonstop. Definately check that one out. The new Crows, Hard Candy, is really good as well.
A few greetings to send out this month: Happy quarter-centuries to Shawn and to Jason this week, and great party. It was nice seeing everyone! Bon voyage to Jon, who was in town visiting for a couple of weeks. It was great having you here, and hope you’re enjoying your cross-Canada foray. Welcome home to everyone who’s arrived in the past few weeks - Marie, Shawna, even Amy’s home from camp. And to all of you who are going back to school this week, good luck and I wish you all a great black hole - er - semester. Believe it or not, I’m jealous.
In site news, aside from the obvious revamp, I added a new thought and a new review of the movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding, which was absolutely hysterical. I highly recommend it. And for anyone looking for photos from my Europe trip, check out my Europe photo album.
That’s all for the moment. Take care, everyone!
