September 8, 2000 Labour day weekend is over, and we all know what that means: back to school. I've had three days of class so far and I'm already swamped with work. Yup, I'm definately back. I almost forgot what stress felt like!
Between advertising and direct-response marketing I've got about 5 group projects. They should be fun and valuable classes but tons of work. I'm also taking managerial accounting (hell on earth), Business Law and Ethics (which I haven't had yet), and Sociology as an elective. The class is Social Deviance and we get to learn about cool stuff like murder and drugs and prostitution and other kinds of crime. The course seems really interesting and refreshing after so many business classes.
I'd like to send a happy birthday out to Lindsay, coming up on Wednesday the 20th. Today (the 8th) is also Jamie's birthday so best wishes!
I've updated my movie review. I've also added to my school section some thoughts about whether or not people in marketing have souls. Some of my wonderfully idealistic arts friends (a-hem) claim that I'm the root of all evil, and I think that being charged with that is a pretty serious allegation. So for my thoughts on marketing and society, check out the school section.
Anyway, to everyone else out there who just went back to school, I wish everyone luck and a great semester. I'm going to go crawl in a hole of projects and exams and hibernate now. I should surface sometime in December.
