September 18, 2002
Hi everyone!

Last week was an interesting week in several ways. The world commemorated the one-year anniversary of September 11th, 2001 with ceremonies, reflections, and sadness. My former school, Concordia, once again made headlines as a scheduled speaking appearance by former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was cancelled due to violent protests. And I started a new job! Yep, that’s right, after a long and frustrating job search, I’m now officially employed!  I started working last week at a direct mail agency here in Montreal. So far I’m loving it - it’s great to be busy, the job itself is really interesting, and I’m learning a lot.

In birthdays, happy 23rd to Lindsay on September 20th. The same day is also my grandmother’s birthday.  Alyson will be celebrating her 22nd on September 24th. And once again, happy quarter-centuries to Shawn and to Jason. I’ve posted some pictures from their party a couple of weeks ago, so check them out. Also, Shana Tova to all you Jews out there.  Hope you all enjoyed eating copious amounts of food on Rosh Hashanah, and that you had an easy fast on Yom Kippur.

I’ve added a new thought about the riots at Concordia (what else?).  Despite the fact that everyone has an opinion and most of what’s worth saying has been said already, I, as usual, felt the need to contribute my two cents.  So check it out in the thoughts section. No new movie review this time, because, well, I haven’t actually seen any new movies. But I promise to add one next time.

That’s all the news that’s fit to print (or all the news that fits, anyway). Ciao!
