Short Summary
In the future, hackers hack a person's soul and create virtual memory for that person. After one of the high government officers has been hacked, the main character, Motoko Kusanagi is asssigned to find the mysterious soul hacker, known as the "Puppet Master." Motoko as a cyborg herself, starts to question herself what does it mean to be 'human.'


Review and thoughts
Um, I think this movie is not that violent as I thought before. If you like to watch violent action movies, this is probably your best choice. But for some people, they might think that this movie has too much violence in it, and the story doesn't make much sense. But I wouldn't say so. There is a main theme in the movie after all: What is it that makes a human a human(Do I sound like writing an English essay). And I think if you read the manga(comics) first, and then watch it, you'll probably enjoy the movie and understand much more from the storylines. Anyways, Ghost in the Shell, as an internationally publiciced anime done by Masamune Shirow and directed by Mamoru Oshii, it's really worthwhile to watch. And one more thing, I think this movie is quite a change for Japanese anime. It's a lot different from the typical Japanese anime, it's more like a movie.
