Short Summary
It is a story about a 14 year-old girl named Shizuku who likes to write and wants to be a writer when she grow up. One summer, she notices that all the books that she borrows from the library have been checked out before her by someone named Seiji Amasawa. Later, she finds out that the person is also a student from her junior high school. They start to know each other. She then knows that he wants to be a violin maker and wants to go to Italy to learn the skill of making violin. She sees his determination and this has lighten up her desire to write. She then tries very hard to write a story.

Review and thoughts
From the above short summary, it might not seem that interesting for some people. The story is actually a more realistic and mature type. This type of anime deal more with the insight of the character rather than the story plot. It basically tells us about the struggle for achievement of a character. Anyways, the whole story is really nice. One great thing about this movie is the artwork. The artwork of this anime is incrediblely great, I think it's the best artwork which I've ever seen. The movement of the characters and objects are very neatly and precisely drawn. The artwork is extremely 'real' looking! Overall, this is something that you should see.
