It's practically all sandstone, with crags from 20m to 350m high. Whatever you're after, be it technical face routes, splitter cracks, bullet-hard soaring aretes, adventure routes, slabs or overhangs, the Blueys has it all - and plenty of it! Like all crags, the Blueys has some choss, but don't be perturbed - with hundreds if not thousands of kilometres of convoluted escarpment winding throughout the area, only an idiot would fail to realise that there is massive amounts of brilliant quality sandstone out there just begging to be fondled.
Best Crag(s): Mt Piddington, Cosmic County.
Wet Weather Options: Centennial Glen, Bowen's Creek, Boronia Point, The Freezer.
Accessibility: Easy day trip from Sydney (1.5-2hr drive).
Crags are described in the order that they are accessed when driving East to West out the Great Western Highway. Hence, the Jamison Valley, Megalong Valley and Kanimbla Valley crags are interspersed with some Grose Valley crags, while crags accessed from Bells Line of Road appear after Mt Victoria.
