TREE THOUGHTS
The material in the archives was not originally written for a website, but is nevertheless well worth reading.

It was all written in New Zealand, and you will occasionally notice this.
Each tree regards itself as the centre of the universe, as, of course, does every other consciousness. To a tree, the world revolves around it. A tree does not share the concept many people have, of regarding humans as higher life forms than trees.   Instead, each tree regards human beings as a magnificent creation of its own.   It is fully aware of being connected to human beings by "branches of consciousness" that are every bit as real and evident to it as its physical branches are to us.   We can become aware of these connections if we open ourselves up to noticing  them in meditation.

Trees regard human beings as a different kind of flower that they have cleverly produced.  Trees consider each human being to be a very beautiful flower and they are very pleased with their human flowers, and proud of every one of us. If you want to experience an entirely different feeling of being loved and appreciated, then I recommend you try, in meditation, to experience the trees' love for you as their beautiful flower.

For a tree, the fruits of these human flowers are the whirling thoughts and swirling probabilities that we create, which seed into physical reality as all the products of the human mind. In this sense, the trees regard cities, for example, as a different kind of forest its children have produced.

A tree makes all its own decisions about its life and death and knows ahead of time what the conditions will be at any point of "earth-contact". It uses this information to choose the exact spot where it will grow - knowing the conditions that will arise out of this, even conditions such as replanting by its human children, pruning, destruction etc., growth and counter growth conditions are all known and accepted.   We would say that trees are  fully  precognitive, however the tree's experience is that it lives in the "eternal now", with no reference to linear time at all. Linear time is an entirely human concept and experience. With a complete disregard for linear time, any living, whole, tree which we see in our present moment, is aware of the future experiences of each part of itself, each leaf, each fruit, each broken off branch, each sawn off plank, each burning log. The future experiences of those parts constitute part of the living tree's present experience of itself. This is completely different from our own experience of ourselves.

Trees   are   filled   with   love and   curiosity   about   the probable futures their human children have set into motion. They explore all of these in one way or another, sending representatives to grow in each one. Where the experiences  of any particular probability are discovered to be unfavourable to tree consciousness fulfilment, they are quite capable of deciding en masse to leave that probability, and then forests are felled and forest fires rage, as the trees "commit mass suicide". Such massive loss of trees should alert and warn people that something is wrong with the direction they are taking and the way they are treating the earth.

Each tree has decided ahead of time, the way in which it is willing to die, and will in fact die. However the tree does not think of it as death, but as a "falling apart"  into  other experiences.   Many trees "fall apart" in the  original,  natural way, staying in   the forest or other natural  setting,  slowly rotting away, eaten by insects and fungi and returning  to  the earth. However, to a tree that is cut down and used for planks or posts etc., this is simply another way of falling apart.   Because of their curiosity and their   desire to understand their human children  better,  some trees choose to "fall apart" as materials in  our  "constructed forests", our towns and cities, giving their consent to being used as all the items we make out of wood, and  remember,  the living tree is aware, ahead of time, of the experiences of all these parts of itself.

Trees, never, at any time, even for a moment, consider themselves to be at the mercy of, or controlled by humans. They understand their connections with us and their part in our creations far too well to ever "think" that way. I hope that as you read this you will develop a new respect for trees,  a new love for them, and new feelings of connection with them as our sisters and brothers of consciousness.
