North Port

Myakahatchee Environmental Park

Terrain:  For the intermediate to advanced rider.  'Nuff said.

To Get There:  Take I-75 and exit on Sumter Boulevard.  Head East for about one mile and turn left on Tropicare.  After the bridge, turn immediately right and the Park is about 1/2 mile down the road on the right.

When you first start out on the 15-20 miles of trails you'll head back over the road that you came in on.  Follow the meandering path of the Myakahatchee creek and pass under I-75.  Keep to the left and you won't get lost.  The trails start out easy, but they change character soon after you cross the interstate.  Take it easy on your first few times out because steep surprises may await!
