Palm Bay, Turkey Creek Sanctuary

Terrain:  There are a lot of trails there within a very close area so feel free to explore.  You can always find your way out to Port Malabar.

To Get There:  South of the Space Port, take I-95 and exit on SR 514 and head East (Malabar Road).  Turn left on to Babcock Street followed by a right turn on Port Malabar Road.  Park at the Library on Port Malabar.  Ride East on the sidewalk, crossing Turkey Creek.  Just after the bridge over Turkey Creek, take the path to the right that skirts Turkey Creek.  This will drop you onto a road called Briar Creek.  Crossing that will put you on the Jeep Trail.  About 45 meters into that there will be a big arrow on a tree pointing to the right, Dead Bike Trail, that will send you along for about a half a mile of roots, shoots, and sand.

Rough root systems followed by sand and lung burning heat and humidity.  Lots of logs big and small as well as criss-crossing trails that total about 7 miles.  (Review by Matt Wetzel.)
