THE LORD'S SUPPER - THE MEANING

Before Jesus' capture by the soldiers, who released Him to the Sanhedrin (the ruling body of the church), we have the story of the Lord's Supper and Passover. The supper, also called "The Last Supper", "Holy Communion", "The Eucharist", or "Meal of Agape" (selfless, Divine Love), is the heart of Christian worship today.

Jesus washes the feet of the disciples. What does it mean to "wash the feet"? The Divine Entity is cleansing the feet. It means, "I change my life -- I walk in a different direction. I turn around and follow my Jesus within." We walk now in a direction shown to us ONLY by our God within.

Jesus then broke the bread, dipped it in wine, and said, "This is my body, this is my blood." What is the message of the bread and wine during the supper? Who is giving the bread and wine? Jesus. What do we get from our Jesus within? We get new Life in each cell of the body, the "bread". We become the reborn body of Christ as we receive God's Light, the "blood", in each cell. That Light of God flows permanently from within us out to the world. And, when we give our Light selflessly, we give Love without condition. This is the meaning of Love -- God's Light flowing from within us to the world without condition.

Breaking the bread and dipping it in wine represents immersing this life -- each cell of the body -- in God's Light. The meaning of Baptism is the same. The Light of God fills each individual cell, as previously explained in the Christmas story. The combined Light within each of us, like the full loaf of bread, becomes the Body of Christ.

Jesus said, "Do this in remembrance of me" -- in remembrance of our Divine Entity within, and to do it as often as possible. Think about this. Our only purpose for eating and drinking should be with the thought of Jesus (our God within), in order to have the purest temple possible to become "reborn" and to spend God's Light selflessly to the world as long as we remain on this planet.
