SEAPAVAA virtual office online

The SEAPAVAA virtual office (http://netopia.oocities.com/seapavaa) is now accessible from a link in the SEAPAVAA website at http://members.xoom.com/avarchives or at http://www.oocities.org/seapavaa. The virtual office serves as a web location of vital secretariat files which can be accessed by authorized SEAPAVAA members or officials, no matter where the secretary general or the secretariat is physically situated.

The virtual office contains eight main folders namely:

  • Public - open to the public
  • SEAPAVAA Awards
  • Training Committee
  • Cataloguing Committee
  • Technical Committee
  • Executive Council
  • General Membership
  • Promotions and Membership

Anybody with appropriate authorization (username and password) may download files contained in these folders. Files may also be uploaded to these folders provided the internet browser software has the appropriate plug-in (a link to the Netopia plug-in will pop-up the first time the folders are opened, with instructions on how to activate them).

For now, the virtual office's primary relevance is to serve as repository of vital SEAPAVAA documents. In the future, its latent capabilities for "chatting" and online teleconferencing may also be explored.
