Nations of Kaladia:
Human Countries | Barbarian Lands | Humanoid Domains | Lost Realms

I have completely detailed all of the nations in my CD ROM atlas. The information provided here for each linked nation is a brief exerpt from the general description topic contained in the sourcebook for that nation. Showcased nations contain much more information from that nation's sourcebook.

The Human Countries

vastly outnumber the lands of barbarians, humanoids and non-humans. These "civilized" countries represent the greatest bulk of the nations of Kaladia, but they do not so overwhelm the other realms as would appear by their sheer numbers. The barbarian lands alone, though few in number, comprise some of the largest regions upon the continent. The domains of the dwarn, elfanir, gnomes and halflings are massive, and there are thousands of small humanoid and non-human nations that claim lands throughout the expanse of Kaladia.

These countries have expanded showcases:

The Barbarian Lands

command a sizeable portion of Kaladia's landmass. Before the arrival of the Tulmarians, Belarans, or even the elves, dwarves, gnomes and halflings, races of humans lived upon Kaladia. Many of them constructed great cities and forged massive empires. Some achieved highly cultured civilizations. But now, most have collapsed into barbarism and savagery. The barbarian domains of today, not all of which are primitive and uncivilized, are the last remaining realms of these native humans.

The Humanoid Domains

are the lands claimed by humanoids and non-humans. These realms encompass not only the lands of dwarves, elves, gnomes, half-elves and halflings, but also include regions claimed by the more savage humanoids and non-humans.

Lost Realms

are not uncommon upon Kaladia. These are countries, or even entire civilizations that have been completely, or nearly so, removed from the face of Kaladia. Some were erased by the Mists, while others collapsed for other reasons. Certainly, there are nations which once thrived upon Kaladia that have left no discovered trace of their existence. But there are several countries which have left their unmistakable marks upon the face of Kaladia.

Most noteworthy of all the ancient civilizations of Kaladia are the Solvarian Empire, the Paudainian Regime, and the Reptorian Empire. Legends of the Aututhan barbarians, passed down in song through the generations, speak of two ancient cities, Iryo and Consterrantin. They were constructed in honor of the two greatest Aututhan deities of the time and, legends reveal, were filled with the greatest treasures that the Aututhan people could find. Both existed in what is now the Plains of the White Wolves, but both were completely destroyed by the War of the Winds. Of the younger nations settled by Belarans and Tulmarians, only two have passed from Kaladia: Alaysia and Quilintir.
