Day 5 Ont.

For a day that started out SO shitty! it has sure turned into a cool day!

First with the bad...Since it started raining yesterday afternoon it rained non-stop till this next morn. That itself sucked BUT to make things worse I was awakened at around 2 am by water dripping on my forehead. I decided to do what I could and got umm yah naked and lied right below the seam that was leaking.... well it seemed like a good idea at first cause as the water dripped on me id rub it somewhere else on me like my legs er sumthing so it would evaporate easier, figuring that it would be easier to dry me out then my bedding.

I kep this up for maybe a half hour when I gave up and went out in the POURING rain to get a towel from the car. I got back in the tent and laid the towel down where the drips WERE coming through and tried to move my bed over to the side of the tent. I say I placed the towel where the drips WERE coming through cause when I got back into the tent the water had stopped coming through ?!?!?! “Well son of a ~beep~...~beep~ ~beep~~beep~~beep~~beep~”....~sigh~

Then I went back to sleep and in the morning the rain was gone. I THINK I have now fixed my tent, there was a lull in the top where water was collecting. Now it remains to be seen if it leaks again...Im in no rush to find out!

The rain had indeed stopped but it looked like it could rain again at any moment. But I was DETERMINED not to waste this day. I decided to go on 4 separate hikes. A 2km, 1.5km, 1.9km, and a 10km hike. The first 3 were EASY!, not much to report seeing on them either. I did take some scenic shots though to remember each hike with.

The last hike now....”HA! 10kms? No prob!”. But this was no little hike, this turned out to be THE MOST intense trail ive gone on. Jeez I mean up and down extreme altitude changes over and over again, it was so tiring, and the rocks were wet making the walking along the sheer cliffs very unnerving not to mention stupidly dangerous. It was a rush but it was a tough trail, definitely not for people who are not sure of their skill level and endurance. I was physically dead after that one. The funny or not so funny thing about the trail is there is this one place where you can almost think you are done the trail because of the map there but ~sigh~ you still have another 2 km’s left !?!?!?!~beep~ ~beep~ ~beep~..... Very tough trail yep. :-)

I got home around 7pm and even though I had heard THUNDER many times while on the last hike, it turned out to be gorgeous out when I got home.

When I got back to the campsite I knowticed the woman who checked me in was working so I went back and talked to her for about a half an hour. Her name is Emily, cool woman but to young to flirt with, but none the less cause she was cool to talk with it ended up that we decided to go for a hike sometime while I was here. Should be fun.

After that I took a MUCH needed shower, bought some fire wood and found I could rent a grill, so at this VERY moment im cooking Kraft Dinner. Turned out to be a wonderful day!! :-)

PS. A raccoon was just now about to hop into my car before I saw him, I already accidentally locked a chipmunk in my car last thing I need is an irate raccoon in there hehe.
