Day 17 Ont.

Saturday, July 10, 1999

Got up slowly this morning and made my way back to St. Catherines, on my way I decided I wanted to be a little adventurous for a change and went to Niagara Falls. Now the Commercial and Over-Exposed aspects of Niagara Falls takes away virtually any desire I have to photograph this sight, but I did want to see them just to say that “I was there!”

So without a camera round my neck, and dressed like the white hillbilly trailer trash I am I got some very interesting looks from the countless other tourists that I walked by around the falls. It was kinda funny, it was like they thought I was just some local slum kid, who was caseing the people for an easy shlep to pickpocket. It might have been my imagination but a number of woman seemed to hold their purses a little tighter as I walked by hehe.

After that I went out to the beach in the north end of St. Catherines that my Uncle had taken me too a few days prior. I hung out there a few hours and worked on my tan before coming “home” to my Aunt and Uncles. Saw and met some more family tonight, my cousin John and his children. Again more fun stories came out, was a cool night.

Ive decided tonight that im leaving Monday to start heading home. Ill catch another one of Pamela’s soccer games in Kitchner on my way out of lower Ontario....Its been nearly three weeks now since I left Regina, I find myself longing for my OWN bed...a REAL bed!...
