Day 12 Ont.

Monday, July 5, 1999

ALL DONE! After a hot humid rainy night I woke up to a beautiful morning. So I decided early that this would be the day that I do the last trail I had in the park to do to satisfy myself. It was a really nice hike, its a trail that has a LOT of potential to see wild life on cause of all of the wetlands it crosses, but unfortunately I saw nothing significant on this trip. I tried howling a few times to call the Algonquin Wolves again on this last hike, but I never got an answer back from my howls sadly, its such a cool thing to get a responce back... however one funny thing that happened was that as I came out of the trail exit I ran into some people that came out of the trail-head and they had mentioned they turned back because they heard wolves around them and didn’t want to run into them so they turned around and hurried back to their car... I just bit my tongue and tried not to smile :-).

Now with all the “work” done on this trip in Algonquin I spent the rest of the day relaxing, shaved, cleaned myself up for possibly leaving tomorrow. Even went for a short swim. Soon after then and till now it has been raining and storming, not sure yet if I will be cooking supper, but no matter, I bought some supplies at the general store.

My neighbors across the way from my campsite that ive talked to a few times before today gave me the phone number of a family member of his in Guelph who is in programming, so that maybe I could talk to him and get some ideas of companies to try in that city for possible jobs.

Will I leave tomorrow? Who knows...

PS Holy shit!!.... Just saw a lightning bolt hit something a few campsites down! How cool! Sparks everywhere, what a cool picture that woulda been...

One of the four lakes that i hiked along today, this one supposedly has Otters in it(one of my fav. animals, but i didnt see any :-(
