Day 9 Ont.

Friday, July 2, 1999

Was a tame day by comparison. Day started out questionable weather wise but regardless I did the LAST “small” hiking trail available to the regular public that I had not yet done. It was sumthing like 7.6 km’s, called the “Track and Tower Trail”. It was a very nice and relaxing hike, I took my time. Ended up hiking most of the time with a couple of nice woman that I met on the trail, they were on holidays from southern Ontario. One really cool thing about the hike was that there was like a tree frog or toad hatch going on. EVERYWHERE there was these baby froggies no bigger then my pinky nail in size scurrying around. They were SO cute! But being everywhere as they were it was nearly impossible to avoid stepping on them :-(, I sadly probably killed some by accident, but I tried my best not to.

Rest of the day after I did the trail I spent vegging on the beach and biking around. I have 2 more trails I want to accomplish before leaving this park, each one will take most of a day to complete, I think I will stay camping here till the 5th before moving on from Algonquin to southern Ontario...

The mother and baby raccoon passed through my campsite again tonight, to bad it wasn’t always so dark out when they pass through my site, the baby is so CUTE, id like a picture of it...

One of my most favorite pictures i have shot to this day, i call it Flowing Sunset

A shot off the cliffs on the Track and Tower trail with the two woman i met on the hike in the picture

A picture of one of the baby frogs sitting on my hand(not that it wanted to sit in my hand, it kept jumping out before i could take the picture... but at least i got ONE good picture of it
